When it comes to managing projects and documents, two powerful tools from Atlassian, Jira and Confluence, excel. This step-by-step guide will show you how to connect Jira and Confluence.
Prerequisites
Before we start the process, make sure you have the following:
- Admin access to both Jira and Confluence
- Both Jira and Confluence should be on the same domain
Step 1: Enable Application Links in Jira
Navigate to the Application Links section in your Jira instance’s settings.
Step 2: Create a New Application Link
Click on the + Create new link button. In the dialog box that appears, enter your Confluence instance’s base URL and click Create.
Step 3: Configure the Authentication
You will be prompted to configure the authentication settings. Here, you have two options: OAuth (impersonation) or OAuth.
