Whether you are new to the iOS community or have recently upgraded to the iPhone XR, this easy-to-follow guide will assist you in using WhatsApp to send messages in just a few simple steps.
Step 1: Open the App Store
Locate the blue icon with an “A” on your home screen or in your app library and tap it to open the App Store.
Step 2: Search for WhatsApp
Tap on the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen, this is the “Search” button. Now, type “WhatsApp” into the search bar and then tap “Search” on your keyboard.
Step 3: Download and Install WhatsApp
You will see a list of apps related to your search. Look for the green icon with a white phone and a speech bubble. This is the WhatsApp app. Tap the “Get” button next to the app. If you have previously downloaded WhatsApp, the button will say “Download” instead of “Get”. After tapping “Get” or “Download”, you might be asked to enter your Apple ID password or use Touch ID or Face ID to authorize the download.
Step 4: Open WhatsApp and Set Up Your Account
Once the app has downloaded, tap “Open” to launch the app. On opening the app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Tap “Agree & Continue” to proceed. You’ll then be asked to enter your phone number and verify it with a code that will be sent via SMS. Follow the prompts to complete the setup process.
