How To Change Hosts In Zoom

Zoom is a well-known platform for video conferences that enables individuals to remotely connect with others. A notable feature of Zoom is the option to switch hosts while in a meeting or webinar. This feature comes in handy if the original host needs to temporarily leave the call or if they are facing any technical challenges.

Step 1: Start a Meeting

To change hosts in Zoom, you must first start a meeting. Once you have started a meeting, you will see a button labeled “Make Co-Host” in the toolbar at the bottom of your screen. Click on this button to make someone else a co-host.

Step 2: Make Someone Else a Co-Host

When you click on the “Make Co-Host” button, a list of participants will appear. Select the person you want to make a co-host and click on the “Make Co-Host” button again. This will give them the ability to change hosts during the meeting.

Step 3: Change Hosts

Once someone else has been made a co-host, they can change hosts by clicking on the “End Meeting for All” button in the toolbar at the bottom of their screen. This will end the meeting for everyone except the host and co-hosts. The new host can then start a new meeting or continue with the current one.

Conclusion

Changing hosts in Zoom is a simple process that can be done by making someone else a co-host and then ending the meeting for everyone except the host and co-hosts. This feature can be useful if the original host needs to step away from the meeting or if they are experiencing technical difficulties.
