Adobe Illustrator, the powerful vector graphics editor, provides a variety of tools that can help you craft intricate designs. A common task that you may need to perform while using Illustrator is resizing objects. Whether you’re working on a large project or a simple design, knowing how to resize effectively can significantly enhance your productivity. 1. Select the Object
First, you need to select the object you want to resize. This is done using the Selection Tool, which is typically the black arrow located in the Tools panel. Click on the object to select it. If you want to resize multiple objects at the same time, hold down the Shift key while clicking on each object.
2. Activate the Bounding Box
Once your object is selected, you must activate the Bounding Box. This tool allows you to easily resize and rotate objects. If your bounding box isn’t visible, go to View > Show Bounding Box.
3. Resize the Object
To resize the object, click and drag the handles that appear on the corners of the bounding box. If you want to maintain the proportions of the object as you resize it, hold down the Shift key as you drag a corner handle.
