How To Remove Google Analytics Account

Google Analytics is a widely used tool for website owners to understand the performance of their site. Note: You must have Edit permission to delete a Google Analytics property or account. If you’re not the admin, contact the person who has these privileges.

Step-by-Step Guide to Delete Google Analytics Account

Step 1: Sign in to your Google Analytics Account

First, you need to log in to your Google Analytics account. Go to the Google Analytics homepage and use your credentials to sign in.

Step 2: Select the Account

Navigate to the Admin tab which is located at the bottom left corner of the dashboard. Here you will find three columns: Account, Property, and View. In the Account column, use the dropdown menu to select the account that you wish to delete.

Step 3: Account Settings

After selecting the account, click on ‘Account Settings’ which is the first option in the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Delete the Account

Scroll down the page until you reach the bottom. Here, you will find the ‘Move to Trash Can’ button. Click on this button to delete the account. A prompt will appear to confirm your action. Click on ‘Delete’ to confirm.

Note: Once you delete an account, the process is irreversible. All the data associated with the account will be permanently deleted within 35 days. Make sure to back up any data you might need before deleting the account.
