How To Mass Delete Emails On Gmail

Whether you’re looking to declutter your inbox from all those promotional emails or simply want to make more space, deleting emails in bulk can save a great deal of time. Today, we’ll be looking at how you can mass delete emails on Gmail. Here’s how you can do it:

On a Computer:

  1. Open your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the checkbox in the very top left corner of your inbox, just above the Compose button. This will select all the emails on your current page.
  3. Click on the “Select all conversations” link that appears at the top of the page.
  4. Then, simply click on the trash can icon to delete all the emails.

It’s important to note that this will only delete the emails that are visible. If you want to delete all emails from a specific category or label, then you should follow these additional steps:

  1. Select the category or label from the left side menu.
  2. Follow the same steps as above to select and delete all the emails.

On a Mobile Device:

The process on a mobile device is a little different:

  1. Open the Gmail app on your device.
  2. Tap on the icon in the top left corner of the app.
  3. Select “All mail” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Tap on the circle icon next to each email you want to delete. If you want to select all emails, tap on the “Select” option in the top right corner, then select the option to “Select all.”
  5. Tap on the trash can icon to delete all selected emails.

Note that emails deleted from your Gmail will be moved to the Trash and permanently deleted after 30 days. If you want to delete them immediately, you can do so by going to the Trash and clicking “Empty Trash now.”
