Canva is a powerful graphic design tool that simplifies the process of creating stunning visuals. One such feature is its chart-making tool. If you’ve ever wondered how to make a chart in Canva, then this blog post is for you.
Getting Started
Before we start, you’ll need to have a Canva account. If you don’t have one yet, head to www.canva.com and sign up for a free account.
Step 1: Create a New Design
After logging into your Canva account, click on the “Create a design” button on the top right corner of your dashboard. A drop-down menu will appear, and you can choose to either create a custom size design or select from the pre-existing templates.
Step 2: Search for Chart Templates
Once you’re in the design page, navigate to the left side of the screen and click on the “Elements” tab. Type “Chart” in the search bar, and a variety of chart templates will appear.
Step 3: Choose Your Preferred Chart
Scroll through the available chart options and select the one that suits your needs. You can choose from pie charts, bar charts, line charts, and more. Click on your preferred chart, and it will automatically be added to your design.
Step 4: Customize Your Chart
Now it’s time to customize your chart. Click on the chart to select it, and a box will appear that allows you to enter your data manually. You can also change the colors of your chart by clicking on the colored squares at the top of the box.

Step 5: Add Extra Design Touches
After you’ve customized your chart, you can add additional design elements. Click on the “Elements” tab again, and this time search for shapes, lines, or other graphics to add to your design. To add text, click on the “Text” tab on the left side of the screen.
Step 6: Save and Download Your Design
Once you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button at the top right corner of the screen. Choose your preferred file format and then click the “Download” button.
