1. Download and Install OBS

First, you would need to download and install OBS from the official website. Visit https://obsproject.com/ and download the appropriate version for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

2. Open OBS and Configure Your Settings

Once OBS is installed, you need to configure your settings. Go to the “File” menu and then click on “Settings”.

Stream Settings

In the settings window, select the “Stream” tab:

Stream Type: Select “Streaming Services”.
Service: Choose “Facebook Live”.
Server: Leave the default “Default Server”.
Stream Key: This is a unique key that you will get from your Facebook page. We’ll cover this in the next step.

3. Get Your Stream Key from Facebook

Go to your Facebook page and select the “Live” option under the “Create” button at the top of your page. In the Live Producer page, you will see a box labelled “Stream Key and Server URL”. Copy the Stream Key and paste it into the “Stream Key” field in OBS.

4. Set Up Your Scene and Sources in OBS

Now that OBS is connected to your Facebook page, you need to set up your scene and sources. A scene is a collection of sources. Sources can be your webcam, your desktop, an image, a text, etc.

To create a new scene, simply click on the “+” button under the “Scenes” box.

To add a source to your scene, click on the “+” button under the “Sources” box. For example, if you want to add your webcam, select “Video Capture Device”, give it a name, and select your webcam from the device list.

5. Start Streaming!

Now that everything is set up, you’re ready to start streaming! Just hit the “Start Streaming” button in OBS, and you’ll be live on Facebook! Remember to click “Go Live” on the Facebook page as well.
