What is Mailchimp?
Before we dive in, let’s quickly touch on what Mailchimp is. Mailchimp is a marketing automation platform and an email marketing service. It’s a powerful tool that allows businesses to send out emails to a list of subscribers. Now, let’s get down to adding emails to your Mailchimp account.
Step 1: Log into your Mailchimp account
The first step is to log into your Mailchimp account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can easily create one by visiting the Mailchimp website and following the instructions to sign up.
Step 2: Navigate to the Audience section
After you log in, go to the main dashboard and find the Audience section. This is where you’ll find the list of your subscribers and where you’ll be adding new emails.
Step 3: Click on ‘Add Contacts’
In the Audience section, there’s an option to Add Contacts. Click on it, and you’ll see two options: Add a Subscriber and Import Contacts.
Step 4: Add a Subscriber or Import Contacts
If you want to add a single subscriber, choose the Add a Subscriber option. You’ll need to input the email address, and you can also add optional information like their name and address.
If you have a list of emails you want to add, choose the Import Contacts option. You’ll be given the choice to upload a CSV or TXT file, copy/paste from file, or import from integrated services like Google Contacts.
