If you’ve ever used Canva, the widely-used graphic design platform, you know how effortless it is to create eye-catching visuals. Among its many features is the option to design posters in different sizes. However, what happens if you’ve already created a poster and realize you need to change its dimensions? This blog post serves as a complete tutorial on how to resize a Canva poster.

Step 1: Open Your Canva Poster

The first thing you need to do is to open the Canva poster that you want to resize. Go to the Canva website and sign in to your account. Navigate to your designs and click on the poster you’d like to resize.

Step 2: Accessing the Resize Feature

Once you have your poster open, look towards the top left corner of the screen. Here, you will see a toolbar with different options. Click on the Resize icon, which looks like two opposing arrows.

Step 3: Resizing Your Poster

After clicking the Resize icon, a drop-down menu will appear. This menu allows you to input the new dimensions for your poster. These dimensions are measured in pixels, but if you click on the drop-down menu next to the dimension fields, you can change this to millimeters or inches. Once you’ve inputted your desired dimensions, click on the blue Copy & resize button.

Step 4: Save Your New Poster Size

After clicking the Copy & resize button, Canva will create a new copy of your design with the newly inputted dimensions. This is to make sure your original design remains unchanged. From here, you can now download your new poster size. To do this, click on the Download button on the top right corner of the screen.

And that’s it! You now know how to resize a poster on Canva. This feature is incredibly useful and it allows you to adapt your designs for various purposes. So, go ahead and experiment with different sizes for your posters. Happy Designing!
