Step 2: Access the Tab Options

Once your desired website is open, right-click on the tab of the website. A drop-down menu will appear.

In the drop-down menu, you will see the option ‘Pin Tab’. Click on it.

Step 4: Confirm the Pin

After clicking ‘Pin Tab’, the tab of the website will move to the left of your tab bar and will be displayed as a small icon. This means the website tab is now pinned.

To unpin the tab, you simply need to right-click on the pinned tab and select ‘Unpin Tab’.

Advantages of Pinning a Tab

Pinning a tab on Google Chrome is incredibly beneficial. Below are a few advantages:

  • Pinned tabs will auto-load when you start Google Chrome.
  • Pinned tabs are smaller and only show the site’s favicon, thus saving space on your tab bar.
