How To Make Your Own Google Slides Theme

Google Slides is a popular platform for creating presentations, but did you know that you can also make your own customized themes on Google Slides? This is a great way to give your presentations a unique and consistent look. In this guide, we’ll walk through the steps to create your own Google Slides theme.

Step 1: Open a New Presentation

Start by opening a new presentation on Google Slides. You can do this by navigating to the Google Slides homepage and clicking on the “+ New Presentation” button.

Step 2: Navigate to the Slide Master

Next, navigate to the Slide Master. This is where you’ll create your custom theme. You can get there by clicking on “Slide” from the top menu, then selecting “Edit master”.

Step 3: Create Your Theme

Now the fun part begins! You’ll see a new screen with a variety of slide layouts. You’ll need to make changes to each of these layouts to create your theme. Here are a few things you can do:

  • Change the background: Click on “Background” in the toolbar and choose a color or image.
  • Change the fonts: Select any text box, then choose a new font from the drop-down menu in the toolbar.
  • Change the colors: Select any element in your slide, then choose a new color from the paint bucket icon in the toolbar.

Remember to make these changes on every layout in the Slide Master to ensure your theme is consistent.

Step 4: Save Your Theme

Once you’re happy with your theme, you’ll need to save it. You can do this by exiting the Slide Master (click “X” in the toolbar), clicking on “Theme” from the top menu, then selecting “Save current theme”. Give your theme a name, and you’re done!

Step 5: Apply Your Theme

To apply your theme to a presentation, open the presentation, click on “Theme” in the top menu, and select your theme from the “Import theme” option.

And that’s it! You’ve created and applied your own Google Slides theme. Now all of your presentations can have a consistent, professional look that reflects your unique style.
