How To Make Border In Google Slides

Google Slides is a versatile tool that allows you to create beautiful presentations for your meetings, classes, or any other event. But sometimes, you may want to add a little extra flair to your slides. One way to do this is by adding borders to your slide elements. In this blog post, we will go through a step-by-step guide on how to make borders in Google Slides.

Step 1: Open Your Presentation in Google Slides

To start, you will need to open your Google Slides presentation. You can do this by going to the Google Slides homepage, clicking on the presentation you want to edit, or creating a new one.

Step 2: Select the Element You Want to Add a Border To

Once your presentation is open, click on the element to which you want to add a border. This could be a text box, an image, a shape, or any other element in your slide.

Step 3: Add the Border

With your element selected, go to the toolbar at the top of the screen. Here, you’ll find the ‘Border color’ and ‘Border weight’ options. The ‘Border color’ option allows you to choose the color of your border, while the ‘Border weight’ option lets you select the thickness of your border.

To add a border:

  1. Click on ‘Border color’ and choose the color you want for your border.
  2. Click on ‘Border weight’ and choose how thick you want your border to be.

And there you have it! You’ve successfully added a border to your element.

Additional Tips:

If you want to make your border dashed, dotted or solid, you can. Just click on the Border dash option and choose the style you prefer.

Furthermore, if you are looking to add a border to the entire slide and not just a single element, you could create a shape (like a rectangle) that covers the whole slide and add a border to that shape.

Adding borders to your slides can give them a more polished, professional look. It’s a simple way to make your presentation stand out. So go on, try adding some borders to your Google Slides presentation!
