When it comes to presentations, Google Slides is an intuitive and flexible tool that many people rely on. But did you know you can take your presentations to a whole new level by adding music? In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of creating a slideshow on Google Slides with music.
Step 1: Open a New Google Slides Presentation
First things first. Visit the Google Slides website and sign in to your Google account. Once you’re in, click on “+ New” button at the left and choose “Google Slides” to open a new presentation.
Step 2: Insert Your Slides
Next up, you will need to start inserting your slides. Click on the “+” icon located at the top left corner of the screen to add a new slide. You can add as many slides as you need for your presentation.
Step 3: Add Music to Your Google Slides Presentation
Now comes the fun part – adding music! Google Slides doesn’t allow you to directly upload music, but you can add music through videos from YouTube. Here’s how:
3.1 Find a Music Video on YouTube
Look for the video of the song you wish to add on YouTube. Copy the URL of the video from the address bar.
3.2 Insert the Video into your Presentation
Back on your Google Slides presentation, click on “Insert” in the top menu, then choose “Video…”. This will open a dialogue box where you can choose to search YouTube, paste a URL or select a video from your Google Drive.
Insert -> Video
Paste the YouTube URL you copied earlier into the “By URL” tab, then click “Select”.
3.3 Adjust the Video Settings
Once the video is inserted, you can click on it to adjust the settings. You can find these options by clicking on “Format options” in the top right corner.
Check the boxes for “Autoplay when presenting” and “Mute audio” if you don’t want the video to distract from your presentation.
Step 4: Preview Your Slideshow with Music
Now that you have added the music, it’s time to preview your slideshow. Just click “Present” in the top right corner of the screen. Your slideshow will start, and the music will play automatically when you reach the slide it’s added to.
And voila! You have successfully created a slideshow with music on Google Slides. With this simple guide, you can add a touch of creativity to your presentations, making them more engaging and enjoyable for your audience.
