If you have a website in WordPress and want to effectively handle your email marketing, you don’t need to search any further than Mailchimp. By incorporating Mailchimp into your WordPress site, you can simplify your email campaigns, automate newsletters, and easily oversee your subscribers. This guide will demonstrate how to connect Mailchimp to your WordPress website.

Step 1: Create a Mailchimp Account

If you don’t have a Mailchimp account yet, you need to create one. Head over to the Mailchimp website and sign up. You can change your plan later as your subscriber list grows.

Step 2: Install the Mailchimp for WordPress Plugin

In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New. In the search bar, type Mailchimp for WordPress and click Install Now button next to the plugin developed by ibericode. After installation, activate the plugin.

Step 3: Set Up Mailchimp API Key

After installing the plugin, it’s time to connect it with your Mailchimp account. For this, you’ll need your Mailchimp API key.

  1. Log in to your Mailchimp account and navigate to Account > Extras > API Keys.
  2. Create a new API key or copy an existing one.

Then go back to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Mailchimp for WP > Mailchimp and paste the API key in the given field and save your changes.

Step 4: Configure Signup Forms

Now, it’s time to create a signup form so your visitors can subscribe to your newsletters. Go to Mailchimp for WP > Form. You can add fields, customize the form and style it according to your preferences.

Step 5: Add the Signup Form to Your Website

After creating the form, you can add it to your website using a shortcode, widget, or PHP function. If you want to add the form using a shortcode, copy the shortcode given at the top of the form editor. You can paste this shortcode in any post or page where you want the form to appear.

Your Mailchimp is now linked with your WordPress website and ready to gather subscribers. This integration will surely take your email marketing to the next level.

Remember, if you face any difficulties while setting up, the support teams from both WordPress and Mailchimp are always ready to assist you.
