To fully utilize your webcam for tasks such as participating in a video call, recording a video, or taking a photo, it is necessary to grant Google Chrome permission to access your camera. This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide for enabling this access.
Step 1: Open Chrome settings
Open Google Chrome, click the three vertical dots on the top-right corner, and from the dropdown menu, select Settings.
Step 2: Navigate to Privacy and Security
On the left side of the Settings page, you’ll see a list of options. Click on Privacy and Security.
Step 3: Site Settings
Under the Privacy and Security section, you’ll find an option called Site Settings. Click on it.
Step 4: Camera Settings
Under Site Settings, you’ll see a list of features. Scroll down until you find Camera. Click on it.
Step 5: Allow Access
Once you’re in the Camera settings, you’ll see a list of websites that have requested access to your camera. You can choose to Allow or Block each site individually. Alternatively, you can choose to allow all sites access to your camera by toggling Ask before accessing to off.
Step 6: Refresh the Page
Once you’ve changed these settings, you’ll need to refresh the page for your changes to take effect.
