At times, you may require enlarging your poster for different purposes. This blog post will walk you through the steps of increasing your poster size using Canva.
Step 1: Open Your Design
First, log into your Canva account and open the design of the poster you would like to resize.
Step 2: Locate the Resize Button
At the top of the page, click on the ‘Resize’ button located on the toolbar. It enables you to adjust the dimensions of your design.
Step 3: Input Your Desired Size
Once you click on ‘Resize’, a dropdown menu will appear with various preset dimensions for different types of designs. You can either select one of these presets or input your own custom dimensions in the designated box. The dimensions are always in pixels.
To increase your poster size, input the desired width and height. For example, if your poster is currently 800 x 800 pixels and you want it to be 1600 x 1600 pixels, simply type 1600 x 1600 in the box.
Step 4: Click “Copy & Resize”
Once you’ve inputted your desired dimensions, click on the button labeled “Copy & Resize”. This will create a copy of your current design but in the new, larger size you’ve specified. It keeps your original design intact, which is useful if you need to revert back to the smaller size later.
Step 5: Adjust Your Design Elements
After resizing, your design elements might be out of place or not scaled to the new size correctly. If this is the case, adjust them manually to fit the new dimensions. You may also need to replace any images or graphics that have become pixelated due to the size increase.
