Step 1: Open Instagram
The first step, of course, is to open up your Instagram app. Make sure that you are logged in to the account from which you want to go live.
Step 2: Navigate to the Instagram Stories
Once you’re logged in, navigate to the camera icon located on the upper left side of your screen. This is where you would typically add a new story.
Step 3: Switch to Live Mode
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see several options, including “Normal”, “Boomerang”, and “Live”. Swipe to your right until you reach the “Live” option.
Step 4: Go Live
Your screen should now indicate that you are in Live Mode. To start your live video, simply tap on the “Start Live Video” button. Instagram will check your connection before starting the live video. This may take a few seconds.
Step 5: Manage Your Live Video
Once you are live, the word “Live” will appear at the top of your screen along with the number of viewers. You have several options while live: you can switch between front and rear cameras by tapping the arrows icon, turn off comments, or add a comment by tapping “Comment”.
Step 6: End Your Live Video
To end your live video at any time, simply tap “End” on the top right of your screen. Instagram will then ask you to confirm that you wish to end your live video.
