How To Freeze Excel Columns

When working with extensive data in Excel, it can be challenging navigating through endless rows and columns. You may find yourself scrolling far to the right or down and losing sight of the crucial headers that help you identify what information you’re looking at. Step 1: Open Your Excel Spreadsheet

Step 2: Select the Column

Click on the lettered header of the column directly to the right of the column you want to freeze. For instance, if you wish to freeze the first column (A), click on the header of the second column (B).

Step 4: Freeze Panes

Note: If you want to unfreeze the columns, you just need to go to ‘View’ > ‘Freeze Panes’ > ‘Unfreeze Panes’.
