If you have just bought a new iPhone X and you’re struggling to figure out how to download and install WhatsApp, worry not! This blog post is designed to guide you through the process step by step. Let’s dive right in.
Step 1: Open the Apple App Store
First, unlock your iPhone X and find the blue App Store icon on your home screen. It might be in a folder labeled ‘Utilities’ or ‘Extras’. Tap on it to open the Apple App Store.
Step 2: Use the Search Function
At the bottom of the App Store, you will see a magnifying glass icon labeled ‘Search’. Tap on this icon. You will be directed to the search page. Click on the search bar at the top and type in ‘WhatsApp’. Then hit ‘Search’.
Step 3: Download the WhatsApp Application
The search results will display various applications. Look for the one labeled ‘WhatsApp Messenger’. It should be near the top of the list. You’ll recognize it by its green icon with a white speech bubble and phone icon inside.
Once you’ve found the right app, tap on it. This will open a new page with more information about the app. On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a button with a cloud and downward arrow icon. This is the download button. Tap on it to start the downloading process.

After the download is complete, the download button will change into an ‘Open’ button. But before you tap on it, exit the App Store and return to your home screen. You will now see the WhatsApp icon on your screen. Whatsapp is downloaded but we need to set it up.
Step 5: Set Up WhatsApp
Tap on the WhatsApp icon to open the app. You will be prompted to agree to the terms and conditions. Next, WhatsApp will require access to your contacts, so it can automatically add them to your WhatsApp contacts list. You will also be asked to provide your phone number, which WhatsApp will verify.
