How To Change Keywords In Google Adwords

Keywords are crucial elements of Google AdWords. They serve as the base for your campaigns and assist in targeting your ads towards individuals seeking similar content. In certain cases, you may discover that a certain keyword is not producing desired results, and adjustments are necessary. This guide will lead you through the steps of altering keywords in Google AdWords.

Sign in to your Google AdWords account

First things first, you need to sign in to your Google AdWords account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one here.

Navigate to the Keyword Planner tool

Once you’re signed in, click on the wrench icon in the top right corner and select Keyword Planner from the Tools drop-down menu.

Select the campaign and ad group

Next, click on ‘Campaigns’ on the left-hand side of the page and select the campaign that contains the keywords you want to change. After you’ve selected a campaign, click on ‘Ad Groups’ and choose the ad group with the keywords you want to edit.

Change your keywords

After selecting the ad group, click on ‘Keywords’. This will bring up a list of all the keywords associated with that ad group. To change a keyword, click on it, then click on the pencil icon that appears. This will allow you to edit the keyword. Once you’re done, click ‘Save’.

Remember to review and track the performance

After changing your keywords, it’s important to review and track their performance. This will help you identify which keywords are working best for you and which ones need to be changed or removed. You can do this by going to the ‘Keywords’ tab and clicking on ‘Search Terms’. This will show you how often your ads are showing for each keyword and how many clicks and conversions each keyword is getting.

Changing keywords in Google AdWords is a straightforward process that can make a big difference in the success of your campaigns. By regularly reviewing and updating your keywords, you can ensure that your ads are reaching the right audience and driving the most conversions.
