Although a free trial is available for users to explore the platform’s features, you may eventually decide to cancel the trial period.
In this post, we’ve compiled a straightforward guide on how to cancel your SEMrush free trial.
Step 1: Log Into Your Account
The first step to canceling your SEMrush free trial is logging into your account. Visit the SEMrush website and click on the ‘Log In’ button located at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Step 2: Navigate to the Subscriptions Page
Once you are logged in, click on your profile picture at the top right-hand corner. A dropdown menu will appear, select ‘Subscriptions’ from this menu.
Step 3: Cancel Subscription
On the subscriptions page, you will see the details of your current plan. To cancel your free trial, click on the ‘Cancel Subscription’ button.
Note: If you are within the 7-day free trial, you will not be charged after cancellation. However, if the trial period has ended and you’ve been billed for the first month, you will need to pay for that month even after cancellation.
Step 4: Confirm Cancellation
After clicking on ‘Cancel Subscription’, a pop-up window will ask for confirmation. Confirm your cancellation by clicking ‘Yes, Cancel’.
Step 5: Fill Out the Feedback Form
SEMrush values your feedback and may ask you for the reason for your cancellation. Fill out the feedback form and click ‘Submit’.

Immediately after you’ve confirmed your cancellation, you will receive an email from SEMrush confirming the cancellation of your subscription. Make sure to keep this email for future reference.
