Welcome to a brief tutorial on incorporating custom fonts into Canva. Whether you’re a designer showcasing your artistic skills or a brand looking to establish a distinctive aesthetic, the option to utilize custom fonts is a crucial feature in your Canva toolbox.

Canva does offer thousands of fonts within their platform, but what if you want to use a specific font that is not included? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Let’s get started.

Step 1: Open Your Canva Brand Kit

Start by logging into your Canva account. Hover over the “more” tab found on the far left of your Canva homepage, a dropdown menu will appear. Click on the “Brand Kit” option.

Step 2: Upload Your Custom Font

In your Brand Kit, you’ll see an option that says “Upload a font”. Click on it, accept the terms and conditions, and then you’ll be able to upload your custom font file. Note that the font file should be in a .ttf or .otf format.

Step 3: Choose and Use Your Custom Font

Once you’ve uploaded your font, you’ll be able to select it from the “Font” dropdown menu in your Canva design template. Just look under the “Uploaded Fonts” section.

Note: The ability to upload custom fonts is only available for Canva Pro, Canva for Enterprise, Canva for Education, and Canva for Nonprofits users.

Extra: Convert Fonts to Suitable Format

If your font file isn’t in .ttf or .otf format, there are online tools that can convert it for you. A popular one is Online Font Converter. It’s free and easy to use.
