Hey Rick,
This is all the necessary W.A.I.K files for vlite to work , no need to download the entire W.A.I.K dvd. Just extract to your vlite install folder , then when asked to install filter just click install.

installed the WAIK, installed vLite, vLite is still saying that the WIM API needs to be installed, clicking on install says I need to download and install the WAIK!!!!!

this isnt impressive, vista has been able to fit on a floppy disk, yes i have it at 1.4mb

DO NOT disable UAC in vLite. After you’re installation, if a program “calls it” it will attempt to turn on without the proper files. If you don’t crash, it will hang the system and sometimes “break” things. It’s best to leave UAC alone in vLite and just disable it after you load the OS

The Windows installation files would be on your recovery partition.
