A Correction in validate_email.php

FIND
$myReg=”/^[A-Za-z0-9\._-]+@[A-Za-z0-9_-]+\.([A-Za-z0-9_-][A-Za-z0-9_]+)$/”;

AND REPLACE WITH

$myReg=”/^[A-Za-z0-9\._-]+@[A-Za-z0-9_-]+\.([A-Za-z0-9_-][A-Za-z0-9._]+)$/”;

Otherwise Second Level domains like Yahoo.co.in will not be detected.

You only need one email address. Your Yahoo email is just fine for everything (but as far as email services go, while we’re on the subject, I recommend Gmail, but Yahoo is just fine) Myspace, Youtube…everything. Nothing will “happen.” You will use this email to log into your Myspace.

Have you checked out sites like rent a coder? You can bid on writing projects there for people. They are often project based so you can pick and choose what you want to do until your book is released.

Yeah – the localhost in wamp is not configured to handle most of the functions. I ran into some issues while working with other functions of php as well when using wamp. Should have mentioned that in the tutorial. Glad to hear you got it working.

I’d like to inform my good news,

an error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function checkdnsrr()”. cause of,
I test run on localhost. when I run on online server it’s work well.

It’s pretty good script, I’ll put it on my web.

Thanks for your reply, I’d change to validate_email.php, it’s OK.
but when I run test I get “Fatal error: Call to undefined function checkdnsrr()”.

I’ve test run on localhost with PHP 5.2.10 and Apache2.2.8 (win32)

Thanks for noticing – it was a typo in the code. It should have been validate_email.php. I have made the change to reflect this. Let me know if you have further issues.
