Team Tutorials Upgraded to Wordpress 2.2.1
Well, I logged into my cPanel account with my host to find that they have finally upgraded to cPanel 11. It looks pretty nice, but I haven’t noticed many new features.
I figured this would be a good time to upgrade to Wordpress 2.2.1 (which I should have done a while ago). Since I am lazy I used Fantastico to upgrade for me. The only thing that I noticed so far is that the dashboard was messed up. It was display elements form our homepage in the dashboard. I found this post that explains how to fix the dashboard issue in Wordpress 2.2.1.
I have taken a break from posting this month because of a little job hunting. I will be trying to get back to a regular posting schedule through August. Hopefully I will be in my new job by then (no official word that I got it, but I have a good feeling about this one). The shifts are going to take a while to get use to: 3 Days on 3 off. I will also be rotating daytime and midnight shifts every two weeks. It is a 1 hour drive to get there, plus the shifts are 10 hours with a 1 hour lunch tacked on and the 1 hour commute home. Yea, it will definitely take some getting used to a 13 hour day. Trying to find time to lift, eat, work on this site, and still try to get some sleep will be a challenge. Hopefully everything will work out great and I will be able to devote more time to this website. Thanks for sticking with us, I hope the tutorials are helping some of you.
*Edit: I noticed that we had some UTF8 problems with the double quote (”) character in posts. I think it is fixed now.
*Edit: I also had to turn on hot link protection because people are stealing our tutorials and bandwidth! I used the cPanel option and ending up screwing the .htaccess file up for a while. This may have cause my mySQL errors. I have it working as far as I can tell.
